The misty mornings are back so got to wait for the haze to clear to get an image.
Sunspots AR12126, AR12127 and AR12130 have complex magnetic fields that harbor energy for M-class solar flares.

Today sees a huge prom lifting off the surface, unfortunately the clouds got worse so never got to see it live.
Sunspot AR12121 poses a slight threat for minor C-class solar flares. Overall, solar activity remains low.

Friday, 25 July 2014

Summer this year seems to be more gap hunting that it was in winter.
Sunspot AR12121 poses a slight threat for minor C-class solar flares. Overall, solar activity is very low.

Another boiling Sun today, but getting more active this week.
Sunspot AR12121 poses an increasing threat for C-class solar flares.

Wednesday, 23 July 2014

Yet again a hazy humid hot day, but nice to see AR12121 is growing and the count is on the up.
Solar activity remains low despite the emergence of two new sunspots on the eastern limb.

Tuesday, 22 July 2014

Another hot and humid day, hard to focus as very hazy again.
Lets hope the 2 new active regions grow this week.
Solar activity remains very low. Tiny sunspot AR12119 does not pose a threat for strong solar flares

Monday, 21 July 2014

Hot and humid day after the mist had burnt off, but then got hazy after a quick gap.
Solar activity remains very low. None of the numbered sunspots poses a threat for strong solar flares

Sunday, 20 July 2014

Bin bags out today as the only gaps were between very heavy rain and winds, so quickly cover everything up whilst trying to get a gap.
Solar activity remains very low. Neither of the numbered sunspots poses a threat for strong (or even weak) solar flares.

Thursday, 17 July 2014

Sunny and hazy hot day again today, I spy 2 new AR starting to show in the centre, just in time as the last one is heading off the disc.
None of these small sunspots poses a threat for geo effective solar flares. Solar activity is low
