Here is the summary for June 2012, 21 days out of 31.
Todays Sun at 11am, forecast again was clear all day, but just after this shot the rain started and heavy rain and high winds again all day.

Friday, 29 June 2012

Yet another cloudy and wet day, late afternoon cleared up a bit, so good enough to get a decent image.  The 1.8ND is working well and look forward to doing some closeups when the weather permits and the wind dies down a bit.

Thursday, 28 June 2012

A clear day for a change, the ND1.8 is looking good as its reduced the exposure time from 1/40th to 1/1250 sec.  Still windy here but the faster exposure works a lot better.  Nice to see more activity this week..

Wednesday, 27 June 2012

Solid cloud nearly all day again today, set up twice thinking there looked like a gap, but no, it started to rain, so on the third try at 5pm, there was a gap, still very humid but not as bad as yesterday.

Tuesday, 26 June 2012

Not very good images today, after heavy rain and high winds managed to get a shot at 8pm through clouds. At least there is another region coming into view.
Been playing with my new ND1.8 filter instead of the ND3 that came with the Lunt Wedge, its reduced the exposure to 1/400 sec instead of 1/40th with the ND3. The ND3 is now on the back of the 2inch 28mm eyepiece that came with the ED80, and it works great for visual use.

Monday, 25 June 2012

Taken through the clouds again today, interesting stuff today though, look at the size of 11512, it was just growing yesterday and growing quickly.  One to keep an eye on I think.

Sunday, 24 June 2012

Yet another cloud dodging day, grabed a quick shot through light cloud before it clouded over fully for the rest of the day, at least the small spot has been given a number at last, just before it rotates out of view.

Saturday, 23 June 2012

Another wet and windy day, but did manage to get a shot in the Morning, then it clouded over and heavy rain all afternoon again.
Still a bit bare, but the new area is growing, so it may get a number soon..

Friday, 22 June 2012

Well you can tell its Summer, heavy rain and high winds here all day again, there was a quick break in the clouds later on in the day, so managed to get an image, still looking a bit bare, but there is a area S1743 nearly in the centre of the disc, not growing very fast, and keeps coming and going, so we will have to see what happens.

Thursday, 21 June 2012

Heavy rain and winds nearly all day, but grabed a quick shot through light clouds at lunch time. Looking a bit blank now 11504 has nearly gone.

Wednesday, 20 June 2012

Today is the longest day, and the first day of Summer, so cloud dodging early morning, then heavy rain and cold. Old Sol is looking a bit bleak at the moment.

Tuesday, 19 June 2012

Early morning capture today, the areas that produced this weeks excitement are now rotating off the disc. No new areas showing today, so lets hope it pics up for the maximum in 2013.

Monday, 18 June 2012

Another cloudy day, but the forecast was sort of right, it did clear a slight bit, so half hour cloud dodging got todays images.

Sunday, 17 June 2012

Rain and high wind today made it a challenge to get anything today, kept looking out but everytime it looked clear, it started to rain again, but then in the early afternoon, it cleared enough to set up and get a shot at todays Sun.

Friday, 15 June 2012

8am seems good for seeing the Sun this week, Got one shot then it clouded over. If you zoom in on area 11504 there is strange activity inside the spot....Would like to get a close up, but the forecast for the rest of the day is showers and hail......

Thursday, 14 June 2012

Another wet/windy day in the UK, looking like the best time to get a shot of the Sun is very early in the morning.  11504 is still growing and now sending out Earth bound flares...

Wednesday, 13 June 2012

After a couple of stormy wet days, very early morning it was looking a bit clear, then about 8am it was very cloud free, glad it was as there is a very active area growing this week.
